2025 Annual Meeting of the Indiana CTSI will move the needle on diabetes research

Registration is now open for the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Indiana CTSI. Join us on November 21, 2025, as we convene leaders in translational research to share and inspire innovations in diabetes treatment. This meeting will take place in person at Hine Hall on the IU Indianapolis campus (see map). Our theme this year is “Moving the Needle: Treating Diabetes Together.”
Learn about cutting-edge research
At the meeting, we will award Yale endocrinologist Kevan Herold, MD, with the 2025 August M. Watanabe Prize in Translational Research. He will deliver the keynote address.
Attendees will engage with a wide-ranging lineup of speakers from the Indiana CTSI institutions and our industry partners. Their work represents the latest and most exciting pharmaceutical, technological, and behavioral interventions that are redefining the treatment of diabetes.
“We are tremendously excited about the 2025 Annual Meeting,” said Sharon Moe, MD, co-director of the Indiana CTSI. “Our speakers are making bold and innovative advances in diabetes treatment that we can’t wait to hear about. All of these advance are powerful examples of why translational research is critically important, particularly in Indiana where the burden of disease is so high.”
Together, these speakers and the larger community of translational researchers, community members, and partners are working to “move the needle” and make an impact in the lives of people with diabetes.
Expanded networking opportunities
This year’s streamlined agenda allows for more time to network and socialize. For the first time, we will host a reception at the end of the meeting. During the reception, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with their colleagues over light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available. Don’t miss the opportunity to connect with old and new friends!
What else is new in 2025
In response to your feedback, we have made some changes to the meeting format this year.
- There is no option for virtual attendance this year. The meeting will be held exclusively in person. A video recording of Dr. Herold’s keynote address will be available after the meeting.
- There is no poster session.
- CME credit is not available this year. (Eligible faculty can explore other CME opportunities on IU’s website)
By letting go of these features, we can make more time for networking and interaction. We are pleased to offer free parking vouchers to attendees who do not already have an EM parking pass for IU Indianapolis.
We hope you will join us November 21 for what is certain to be a great day. Please register by November 7.
