Connections IN Health honored with 2025 Indiana Public Health Award

On October 22, Connections IN Health was awarded the 2025 Public Health Impact Award from the Indiana Public Health Association at their Annual Conference. The Public Health Impact award recognizes an individual, group, or organization who has exhibited exceptional partnership with and support for public health efforts in Indiana.
The event was held at the Ivy Tech Community College Conference Center, located in downtown Indianapolis, and the award was accepted by Karen Hinshaw, MS, program manager for Community Health Partnerships, associate program director for Connections IN Health, and associate director of operations for Research Jam.
Omolola Adeoye-Olatunde, PharmD, MS, director of Community Health Partnerships, was also recognized at the event with the 2025 Emerging Public Health Leader Award. The award recognizes an individual in Indiana with ten years or less in the field of public health who has made exceptional early contributions to the field of public health that illustrate long-term potential and promise for leadership and achievement.
Connections IN Health, an initiative of the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, brings together three coalitions focused on chronic health to make a positive impact on health outcomes throughout the state. The coalitions include the Cardiovascular and Diabetes Coalition of Indiana, the Hoosier Health and Wellness Alliance, and the Indiana Joint Asthma Coalition.
