The Indiana CTSI’s Implementation Science Core is building a community of partners who are helping put innovations into practice
Getting research into practice is one of the greatest challenges in healthcare. Effective interventions often take years to become part of routine care, and many never reach the people who could benefit from them. Implementation science helps close that gap by studying how evidence-based practices can be adopted, implemented, adapted, and sustained in real-world settings.
If your work involves understanding how evidence, programs, technologies, policies, or innovations are put into practice, you may already be doing implementation science.
The Indiana CTSI is excited to introduce the Indiana CTSI Implementation Science Core, directed by Matthew Aalsma, PhD, and Edmond Ramly, PhD. Its mission is to build a statewide community of researchers, clinicians, trainees, and community partners who are advancing implementation science across Indiana.

Join the Indiana Implementation Science Network
We’re building a statewide network to connect investigators interested in implementation science.
Take 2-3 minutes to complete our brief survey and join the network. Members will receive updates on training opportunities, lecture series, funding announcements, implementation science resources, and opportunities to connect with colleagues throughout Indiana.

- Join implementation science leader Dr. Byron Powell for an interactive workshop focused on strengthening the use of evidence-based practices in health and social services. Participants will gain practical insights into developing, selecting, and evaluating implementation strategies that support successful research translation and long-term impact.
