As AI continues to advance rapidly, this talk will share how to build and adapt workforce training in healthcare and research. Drawing on real programs built from the ground up, including a competency framework developed with the NIH-funded Bridge2AI-Voice consortium and an AI literacy certification for an Academic Medical Center, this talk walks through the process of building competency-based AI training that works for technical specialists and non-technical learners alike. Attendees will leave with a practical approach to identifying AI competencies, selecting personas, and designing training for mixed-skill audiences.
