Citing the Indiana CTSI and NIH Requirements: Last Updated May 2023
Federal Law requires grantees to acknowledge Federal funding when issuing:
- abstracts,
- manuscripts,
- statements,
- posters,
- press releases,
- requests for proposals,
- bid invitations,
- other documents describing projects or programs funded in whole or in part with federal money.
If you are submitting a publication and have received Indiana CTSI funding you are required to include an acknowledgment of CTSA grant support and a disclaimer.This policy is applicable to any individuals whose salary, education or research activities are funded all or in part by the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) directly or via institutional match funds, and whose work on the cited project is in support of activities related to Indiana CTSI.
How do I cite the Indiana CTSI correctly?
For your convenience, we have included citation text is below based on the type of award received. We recognize that the acknowledgment may be modified to satisfy specific journal policies.
If you are submitting a publication and have received Indiana CTSI funding, you are required to include an acknowledgment of CTSA grant support and a disclaimer.
For TL1 Awardees:
“This project was funded with support from the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute which is funded in part by Award Number TL1TR002531 from the National Institutes of Health, National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, Clinical and Translational Sciences Award. For KL2 or K12 Awardees:
