Post-Doctoral Training Award (T32)
The Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) T32 Postdoctoral Training Awards, funded in part by NCATS, are designed to provide promising postdoctoral fellows with the opportunity to be mentored in research-intensive multi-disciplinary settings toward the goal of developing careers across the spectrum of translational research. T32 awards are available to researchers with a PhD or equivalent degree and less than 24 months of combined experience as a post-doctoral fellow.
Application Process
- Application Period: September to January
- Award Start Date: July of each year
- Award Duration: 2 years
The second year of funding is contingent upon review and demonstration of satisfactory progress.
Eligibility
- A PhD or equivalent degree and less than 24 months of combined experience as a post-doctoral fellow at any academic institution or industry.
- Must identify two mentors who are faculty investigators from two different disciplines (preferably a clinician-scientist and a PhD-scientist). The primary mentor must have an appointment at an Indiana CTSI affiliated institution.
- Research should be translational in nature.
- Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
In addition, per NIH policy, no individual trainee may receive more than three years of aggregate Kirchstein-NRSA support at the post-doctoral level.
