Fusing systems engineering and implementation science: a unique approach to inform innovative organizational change in healthcare
December 4 @ 11:30 am - 2:30 pm
An in-person implementation research methods workshop with the 2025 Jonathan and Jennifer Simmons Implementation Science Lecturer
Dr. James H. (Jay) Ford II, leading expert in health systems engineering and implementation science
Effective and sustainable organizational change is critical to the design of dissemination and implementation research. A failure to sustain changes is a direct waste of organizational resources and can lead to change fatigue. Dr. Ford’s research integrates health systems engineering principles, quality improvement tools and techniques with Dissemination and Implementation (D&I) principles, frameworks, and strategies and focuses on the dissemination, implementation, and sustainment of organizational change.
