For Families, Providers & Individuals

Receiving an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis can lead to a number of questions.  Join the HANDS in Autism Team, in coordination with your Central and Southwest Local Community Cadres (LCCs), for a special workshop to learn more about characteristics of ASD and related disabilities, considerations for all family members, statewide and local supports, rights and regulations, financial considerations, best practices and practical strategies available to support individuals and their families or caregivers, as well as collaboration pointers for working with your school and other providers.

The Next Steps workshop is primarily designed for primary caregivers with a child who has recently been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.  However, this seminar may also be beneficial for other caregivers, educational or therapy professionals, medical providers, other adult family members, or individuals with ASD of any age.

Next Steps workshops facilitated by HANDS in Autism staff are COMPLIMENTARY for families thanks to the generous sponsorship of Kappa Kappa Kappa, Inc.
