To kick off this year’s Invention to startup forum, Gabriel Gruionu, PhD, will speak about the Krannert Cardiovascular Institute’s Intellectual Property Development program and his current project on Wednesday, February 24 at 1 pm.

The title of the talk is “Endovascular Robotic Catheter Navigation using Electromagnetic Image Guidance for Cardiovascular Interventions (CV-Robot).”

Gruionu is an entrepreneur and biomedical engineering scientist with over 20 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine, cancer biology, and medical innovations. He has led a 50+ clinician medical innovation program at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and the Harvard Medical School by creating a portfolio of 40+ medical devices including AI and robotics. He is currently the director of CV IP Development at the Krannert CV Institute, working to accelerate medical innovation of cardiologists and CV surgeons and scientists.
