Please join us on for the fifth presentation in our 2017 Insights & Innovations webinar series Creating Opportunities to Achieve Optimal Health as we explore ways in which we can address public health challenges through a health equity lens.

We are pleased to welcome Krista Brucker, MD, MS, Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the IU School of Medicine, and Dan O’Donnell, MD, Associate Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine and Chief Medical Director of the Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS).

Together, they will co-present Project POINT: A New Collaborative Approach to Improving Care for Opiate Overdose Patients Presenting to the Emergency Department.  In this presentation, you will learn about:

  • The need for opioid-related Emergency Medical Services and connecting opioid-overdose patients to care,
  • Implementation, results, and lessons learned from Project POINT: Planned Outreach, Intervention, Naloxone, and Treatment, and,
  • Plans for preventing recurrent overdoses.
