Understanding the pandemic: 10-week series will break down COVID-19 for the lay person

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected everyone in some way, but many people may not fully understand how the virus is spreading, its impact on communities or the effort to track and contain the spread. The Indiana Pandemic Information Collaborative (IPIC) is helping to answer those questions for the public.

The 10-week online series will discuss COVID-19 for those who do not have a background in medicine or public health. Topics will include:

  • how vaccines are developed
  • why the virus has been so hard to track and contain
  • the outcome of using masks
  • how to prepare for the next outbreak

Experts from the field will teach each session. Sessions are online, each Thursday from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Register here.
