Kroenke selected as recipient of faculty mentoring award

Kurt Kroenke, MD

Kurt Kroenke, MD, was selected to be the recipient of the 2020 Excellence in Faculty Mentoring Award for clinical faculty. He was recognized during the IU School of Medicine Fall All School Meeting. Kroenke previously served as the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) Education Programs Director.

Kroenke is a professor of medicine at IU School of Medicine, as well as a Chancellor’s Professor at IUPUI. He was selected from a group of distinguished nominees by the Mentoring Awards Sub-Committee of the Faculty Development Coordinating Committee.

The IU School of Medicine faculty created the Excellence in Faculty Mentoring Award to recognize the outstanding mentoring efforts of faculty members. This annual award honors one basic science and once clinical faculty member who actively mentor other faculty members and learners. These awards allow the school of medicine to honor and celebrate the valuable efforts of faculty mentors who embody the spirit of mentoring.
