November is National COPD Awareness Month

November 11, 2020

set of model lungsMore than 16 million Americans have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Millions more have it and don’t know it.

The month of November provides the COPD community with a distinct time to come together with one voice to focus on increasing awareness of the disease. Across the country, organizations will be conducting outreach and holding events to bring greater visibility to COPD and to encourage people to recognize their symptoms and seek diagnosis and treatment earlier.

Join the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s Learn More Breathe Better program in its efforts to promote COPD resources and educate others. See below their information videos, and for more resources visit the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s website.
