Project Development Teams

Our multi-disciplinary teams of experts are ready to help you create a competitive and compelling proposal focused on general research, community engagement, implementation, or device or drug development.

Add Our Experts to Your Bench

Tap into expertise beyond your campus. Project Development Teams (PDTs) gather experienced researchers and industry experts from across the state. They work with you to strengthen your approach and your ability to secure funding.

Access Pilot Funding, Collaborators & Core Facilities

PDTs will connect you with resources, collaboration opportunities, and small (typically up to $15,000) awards to support your collection of preliminary or additional data. Each PDT is designed around a specific expertise.

There are biostatisticians and regulatory experts on each team, and we can add other experts as needed. You will have access to the expertise and knowledge you need so that you have integrated access all in one meeting.

If you would like to get more information from an Indiana CTSI colleague, contact your campus’s navigator or Tammy Sajdyk, PhD, MS, the director of the PDT program.

Then, apply.

PDTs are the gateway to the resources and services you need to make your project successful. They might suggest you consult with our bioethics, biostatistics, or regulatory support programs.

They could also connect you with recruitment services team so you can design a successful recruitment strategy, or direct you to the Regenstrief Data Core to learn more about feasible data sets.

Drop by the Indiana CTSI’s grant writing “office hours” to supplement your PDT consultation. These sessions are dedicated to specific grant writing topics and are an excellent resource as you design or revise your funding submission.

When Should Researchers Consult a PDT?

We are ready to help you catalyze your work at any time. The teams work with researchers at any stage of project development, from research question to resubmission, and often work with researchers across multiple meetings before the final submission.

Faculty and Fellows are Welcome to Apply

Whether you’re an early career trainee or an experienced faculty member, our experts are eager to help you. Postdoctoral and clinical fellows can also turn to the PDTs for project advice, though they are not eligible to receive pilot funding.
