Does your child have trouble paying attention? Are they impulsive? Act out? Researchers at the IU School of Medicine are looking for parents/guardians and their children to take part in a research study to learn more about factors that affect how children understand the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of other people and how they respond to virtual reality environments. Children, 9-12 years of age, who display behaviors that indicate Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are invited to participate.Study participation involves up to three sessions with you and your child at our laboratories at the IU School of Medicine. Compensation will be provided.

What is the purpose of this study?The purpose of this study is to is to improve the way physicians and scientists understand patient and provider attitudes towards Lung Cancer Screening. Lung Cancer Screening is a very important diagnostic measure to detect early-stage Lung Cancer in patients. This study is being conducted over the course of multiple parts to best tailor this intervention towards patients that are eligible for Lung Cancer Screening but have not yet completed it. THIS STUDY IS ENROLLING BY INVITATION ONLY - Patients who present in the Eskenazi Health Emergency Department who are determined to be eligible for lung cancer screening will be approached and offered enrollment by the research team.

What is this study about?This is a research study investigating the effects of inspiratory muscle training (IMT) on cardiovascular function, muscular fitness, and mood in postmenopausal women.  IMT works by strengthening the respiratory muscles through resistive airflow breathing using a handheld device.  Who can participate?Postmenopausal women (50-75 years of age).

Why is this study being done?The Collaborative for Aging Research and Engagement (CARE) is a project that focuses on Alzheimer's disease and related dementia (ADRD) education and resource sharing through community engagement and technology. As a result of CARE's efforts, we now have the Lola app- a new, free ADRD education app that teaches users about Alzheimer's and dementia, shares community resources, and up-to-date news about dementia and healthy aging. The study is funded by the National Institute on Aging at the National Institutes of Health.We are looking for eligible participants (ages 45 and older) to use the Lola app over the course of 4-weeks and give us their feedback. All study tasks can be completed entirely from home (no in-person visits required).
