“Technology for Primary Practice: PoCUS and Telehealth”
Event Site: Landsbaum Center, Terre Haute, IN
Contact: Ellen Ireland (eireland@iu.edu) or Kara Garcia (karagarc@iu.edu)
Description: This in-person event will bring together practitioners, researchers, sponsors and institutions with strong interest in improving access to care. The focus of this event is how technology such as point-of-care ultrasound and telehealth can improve primary care, particularly in rural and remote areas. The goal is to create new connections among stakeholders to improve use, training, and translational research around these technologies. We encourage experienced users and those who have never used PoCUS or telehealth but want to learn more to attend.
The Indiana CTSI Regional Retreat will be hosted by the Indiana University School of Medicine regional campus in Terre Haute, which specializes in recruiting and training physicians for rural practice. Presentations will be streamed, but this event is primarily in person. Lunch will be provided.
