The Indiana Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) and Indiana University School of Medicine—Evansville are excited to announce the details of the 2024 Regional Campus Retreat in Evansville. This event will take place on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
The event will combine the Indiana CTSI Evansville Research Symposium with the Patrick JV & Margaret B Corcoran Lecture held in Evansville each year. This year’s programming will focus on research at the intersection of data and mental health. Brian D’Onofrio, PhD, this year’s invited Corcoran Lecturer, will provide the keynote talk during the event, as well as a public-facing lecture to the community on Tuesday, August 13th. D’Onofrio is the Sharon Stephens Brehm Endowed Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Indiana University Bloomington. His research focuses on the etiology, assessment, and treatment of behavioral health problems.
There will be additional invited talks from the Evansville community, as well as a poster session featuring student research and tours of the Mary O’Daniel Stone and Bill Stone Center for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
The first Indiana CTSI event hosted in Evansville, originally planned for Spring 2020, was held virtually due to COVID-19.
“We are thrilled to finally invite our CTSI colleagues from around the state to Evansville — to meet our partners and see first-hand the unique resources our region has to offer,” said Evansville Navigator for the Indiana CTSI, Kara Garcia, PhD.
This event was “worth the wait,” she says, as the Mary O’Daniel Stone and Bill Stone Center for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry has made strides since its dedication in 2021. The goal of this year’s retreat will be to highlight the exciting work underway, as well as opportunities for future collaboration with Indiana CTSI and local partners.
More information will be released soon regarding additional speakers and the agenda.
