Join the Health Equity Research Scholars Course

Are you working on or interested in research that involves Health Equity or Medical Education? Are you interested in strategies to help you advance your work?

IU School of Medicine Department of Medicine offers a research collaborative course to allow similar-minded researchers and practitioners to get together and exchange ideas. This program is co-sponsored by the I-CTSI, the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, and IU Health, and is open to all faculty.
The course consists of eight monthly, 90-minute, Friday-morning sessions. To apply, fill out the application by March 31.

The goals of this program include:

* Provide individual faculty with a foundation of health equity in research
* Introduction to disparities and social determinants of health.
* Articulate complex relationships between race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, psychosocial, cultural factors (etc.) and how these relationships underlie health disparities.
* Draw upon various research methods to analyze the determinants of health disparities for particular groups.
