Gain insight into what it takes to publish your research through a workshop presented by editors from the Nature Research journals. The day will consist of presentations from the presenters, practical exercises, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions. Over the course of the workshop you will learn practical techniques for developing your scientific writing skills, best practices for submitting a paper (including writing effective titles, abstracts, and cover letters) and effective responses to reviewers. The workshop is being provided by IU School of Medicine FAPDD and Nature Masterclasses, part of Nature Research and Springer Nature.

Modules include:

  • What makes a great paper
  • Golden rules of writing titles and abstracts
  • Cover letters to excite the editor about your work
  • Responses to reviewer comments
  • What makes an outstanding review paper

This event is sponsored by IU School of Medicine Faculty Affairs | Professional Development | Diversity.
