On Thursday, June 23, the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) hosted its inaugural team building event. Employees of the Indiana CTSI gathered to enjoy Ritter’s Frozen Custard, camaraderie, and a little competition!
Attendees divided into groups and were tasked with building a tower from a limited supply of paper plates, plastic cups, and tape. After a fierce competition that came down to a tie-breaker round, Team Solo claimed the Tip Top team trophy with a tower height of 111 inches! Members of Team Solo included Rachel Herndon, Kelly Denney, Karishen Poole, and Michael Scanlon.
“I’m so glad we were able to have the team building event in June!” said Bridget Hawryluk, who pitched the event to leadership and helped to bring it to life. “It’s so important for people to think differently than their norm and stretch the way they approach problems. This was one of the goals of the event – team people up and get them building with their hands as they solved a problem. The other big goal was to hang out with people in person and that part was a huge success as well! Here’s to another one next summer!”
In addition to an afternoon of friendly competition, various crafting activities were available and a photographer was on-site to provide updated professional headshots.
