By Laurie Trevino:

It is with mixed emotions and sincere gratitude for her service that we are announcing the retirement of Sharon Cromer, administrative manager for the Indiana CTSI Clinical Research Center (CRC).

Sharon has worked at the CRC for almost 30 years. She started out as a temporary employee in July 1988 working for the computer science department.  Before the end of her temporary assignment, she was recruited to a full-time position with the CRC as administrative assistant to Dr. Munro Peacock in November 1988 and assumed the role of administrative manager in October 1998.

Sharon has been responsible for ensuring a quick and efficient CRC submission process, providing support to CRC users and managing the CRC auxiliary account. She has been instrumental in organizing and maintaining a very successful clinical research education program offered to undergraduates, medical students and residents. Her last day with the CRC will be June 22, 2018.

Beginning this fall with her retirement, Sharon will be providing education to a slightly younger scholar: her grandson.

We invite you to join us in showing Sharon our tremendous appreciation at a reception that will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, in the IU Simon Cancer Care Pavilion lobby/atrium area. Questions? Please email Laurie Trevino at lhackwar@iu.edu
