The AWARE Program is a multi-institutional partnership to
enhance entrepreneurial competitiveness for women and minorities.
Indiana CTSI and the IU Research and Technology Corporation (IU-RTC) have
partnered on the AWARE Program with the University of Louisville (UofL) and
Missouri University of Science & Technology (Missouri S&T) to
enhance the competitiveness and success rate of SBIR/STTR applications for
women and minority entrepreneurs.
The pilot program plans to ACCelerate Entrepreneurial SucceSS (ACCESS)
of women and underrepresented minorities through the following:
- Identify, engage and mentor them to pursue entrepreneurship as a career
- Expand educational, experiential and networking opportunities
- Enhance their competitiveness for federal grant applications
- Create a regional ecosystem for entrepreneurs and sharing of best
practices by UofL, IU and Missouri S&T
For the third year in a row, the IUPUI campus will host events that can help the general public, especially women and underrepresented minorities, learn more about entrepreneurship and commercializing university inventions.
The 2019 AWARE: ACCESS
program includes three workshops in September and October at Hine Hall, Room IP106, 875 W. North St. There will also be a November summit at the University of Louisville.
All events are sponsored by the National Science Foundation, Indiana University, the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, and the University of Louisville. Online registration
