The Translational Research Development Program is one the Indiana CTSI’s most integrated programs bringing together a vast array of resources across our Indiana campuses to support competitive high quality translational research.
Why the emphasis on the translational nature of our research support? The NIH’s National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) defines translation as “the process of turning observations in the laboratory, clinic and community into interventions that improve the health of the individuals and the public.” The Indiana CTSI is one of the key investors committed to accelerating translational research to positively impact the health of Indiana residents and beyond.
Aided by the CTSI Navigators who are experts at each of the Indiana CTSI campuses, examples of the resources available via the Translational Research Development Program Managers are:
- Assistance in creating competitive communications strategies (grant & lay public)
- Project development at ANY stage of your research
- Funding opportunities
- Regulatory support
- Access to informatics tools and biostatistical & design services
