The Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) has partnered with six major local life sciences organizations to launch INScience — a web-based app allowing its users access to the latest news stories, job openings, and events specific to life sciences in Indiana.

The free app invites users to choose which topics they want to receive information on, as well as the organizations they want to receive it from. The app promotes knowledge and engagement in Indiana’s $78 billion life sciences economy.
Anantha Shekhar, MD, PhD, founding director of the Indiana CTSI and executive associate dean for research affairs at IU School of Medicine, thinks INScience will help to create more personal connections between organizations and individuals.
“INScience is a very helpful tool in connecting individuals with big organizations and to learn more about what’s happening specific to the life sciences in Indiana,” says Dr. Shekhar. “It’s a great way to get the community involved and to get the word out about our sector.”
The Indiana life sciences is made up of more than 57,000 people from 1,700 organizations and the three leading research universities that make up the Indiana CTSI.
Indiana CTSI has teamed up with BioCrossroads, Cook Regentec, Corteva Agriscience, Eli Lilly and Company, Indiana Biosciences Research Institute, and Roche Diagnostics to make the app possible.
For security purposes, users will be asked to input a six-digit code provided via their registered email before being able to access the INscience app for the first time.
