June 3, 2020

photo of grassy hill with cloudy blue skyAir pollution is harmful to everyone’s health. It can be especially dangerous for those who have asthma because it can trigger asthma attacks.  Early studies have suggested that high levels of air pollution may be linked to worse outcomes from COVID-19.  Here are some important points to keep in mind regarding air quality.

-Check your local air quality at Air Now.

-Avoid exercising outdoors when pollution levels are high.

-Avoid exercising near high-traffic areas.

-Don’t burn wood or trash. Burning these items introduces more particles into the air.

-Reduce pollution by walking, biking, or carpooling.

-Use less energy in your home. Generating electricity and other energy sources creates air pollution.
