The Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute supports investigators at all career stages by providing education and training in translational research.
Career Development Opportunities:
Early-Career Investigator Awards (KL2)
The Indiana CTSI provides funding for special research fellowships for early career investigators in clinical-translational research. Clinical research includes epidemiological studies, clinical trials, or other investigations involving human subjects. Translational research consists of either “T1 research” (interface of basic science to human studies) or “T2 research” (interface of human studies to the community). Learn more.
Pre-Doctoral Training Awards (TL1)
The Indiana CTSI provides funding for its special Pre-doctoral Training Award in Translational Research. In biomedical terminology, translational research refers to what is popularly termed “bench to bedside,” the process by which research in the lab “translates” into patient treatment. Learn more.
Post-Doctoral Training Awards (TL1)
The Indiana CTSI provides funding for its special Post-doctoral Training Award in Translational Research. Translational research may involve applying discoveries made during lab research to the development of clinical trials and studies in humans, or carrying out research aimed at enhancing adoption of best practices, or both.
