practicing social distancing, staying home, and washing your hands properly. Wearing a cloth
face covering in public is another key tactic for slowing the spread.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), wearing a cloth
face covering can help slow the spread of COVID-19, especially from those who may not realize
they have it. Also, wearing a face mask can provide a visual reminder for others to keep their
distance, as well, as it may keep you from touching your face and mouth. It is important to note
that, though they are crucial for when you are in public, according to the CDC, wearing a cloth
face covering may not necessarily keep you from breathing in the droplets that cause COVID-
19. This is why the CDC recommends cloth face coverings in conjunction with other prevention
methods.

You may have many questions when it comes to wearing a cloth face covering such as:

  • How to wear your cloth face covering
  • How to wash your cloth face covering
  • How to make your own cloth face covering

For answers to these questions and more, please visit the Center for Disease Control website.
